The Polish Culture and Language Summer Course for Foreigners Time: 30 August - 19 September 2009 The course includes teaching the Polish language to all both complete beginners (level 0) and people on different levels of proficiency in the language. The classes are conducted by qualified employees of the Institute of Polish Philology of Opole University. The aim of the course is not only to facilitate acquisition of the Polish language and development of the skills already possessed, but also acquainting the Participants with the Polish culture and landscape. Therefore, we offer a rich program of cultural events and visits to places. During the three weeks the Participants will visit Opole itself, its environs (closer and more distant), including the Sudety Mountains and Cracow. The Course fee, which amounts to EUR 440, covers the following: - 45 teaching hours of didactic classes and didactic materials, The accommodation will be provided in Students' Hall of Residence "Niechcic", opened in 2004 - the most modern students' hall of residence in Poland at the moment - located within the University campus, within walking (10 minutes) distance from the city-centre. The deadline for sending in applications is 30 June 2009. The Course in Opole is of "closed-circle" character, with the maximum number of Participants 45 (the minimal number 25). The admittance is on the "first come first served" basis, that is dependent on the order of the received applications.
